My Student Led Conference

1. I felt my SLC went well because I spoke clearly and showed my  learning with what I was doing.

2. My favourite part of the SLC was explaining what I was doing in my Maths

3.This year I feel that I have made the most improvement with my maths because I have improved my knowledge on ratios, percentages and fractions.

4. In 2016 I want to improve on my spelling because it would be helpful in my writing.

Narrative Study

Title: The Quest.

Author: Leith Cooper.

Genre:Short Story.

Settings: Abandoned sports stadium.

Characters: lonely old man.

Plot: The lonely old man can't find his very important false teeth that he lost at a football game.

Fav: My favourite part of the text is when the writer explains the setting.

What:I am learning to write cursive in my writing.
So what: I am able to write and form cursive.
Now what: I would like to improve on writing and forming cursive without a template.

I liked the book because it surprises you when you least expect it.

Now I'm going to read another book from the series. In total this is one of the best books I have read.

So what: I have learned to organise my ideas into paragraphs.

I have learned to use cause and effect language.

Now what: to choose my own topic.

Feeling tired take a break

What:I am managing myself to take a break when I need to.So what: When I need some fresh air I can go for a two minute break.Now What: I need to do some more activities.

I liked learnig  the facts about air planes when we did the  Scavenger Hunt and going to Chris's classroom which had a lot of cool stuff on planes.Chris taught  us that thrust is when a plane goes forward,lift is when a plane goes up,weight is what makes a plane go down and drag is what pulls the plane back.When we did the scavenger hunt we got put into groups,I went with some of my friends.I Thought we did really well because we found a lot of answers.
